BizEdMadeSimple is a complete Business Studies learning platform built around one simple principle: every syllabus point should be explained clearly, carefully, and completely.
The platform is built around a comprehensive library of explanation-first video lessons designed to help students genuinely understand Business, rather than simply memorising exam answers. Currently, the platform is fully aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies syllabus, with support for Cambridge International AS & A Level Business expanding rapidly.
(Note: While built around Cambridge specifications, the core concepts and resources are highly valuable for any student studying GCSE, IB, or other international Business qualifications.)

Making a subject simple does not mean dumbing it down. It means making complex ideas clear, memorable, fun and usable.
Many lessons use what I call “silly stories,” exaggerated characters and unconventional scenarios that make abstract business concepts highly visual. While some students are sceptical at first, they quickly realise that these memorable narratives are often why difficult topics finally click, staying with them long after the lesson ends.

The pressure Business teachers know too well
Business is content-heavy, and every syllabus point matters. After 17 years in the classroom, I know the stress of trying to finish the course, revisit difficult topics, teach exam technique and still make sure every student has genuinely understood what they need to know.
The difficult part is that students cannot safely ignore the “small” points. A narrow syllabus area can become a 12-mark question, and that question can be the difference between grades. If a student is absent, on a school trip, or simply misses that lesson, a single gap can become a major problem.
How BizEdMadeSimple helps

Jack Dougall is a full-time secondary school Business teacher at the British School of Gran Canaria, where he teaches Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS and A Level Business.
He has over 15 years’ experience teaching and working in education in the UK and internationally. Everything on this site is based on what he teaches in real lessons, with real students and real exam requirements.

BizEdMadeSimple grew out of Ecmtutors, an initiative originally created to provide ethical academic support to students who lacked access to traditional tutoring and educational opportunities.
As the project developed, it became clear that technology could help make high-quality teaching more accessible without losing the importance of teacher expertise and human support. That philosophy continues to guide the platform today.
The aim remains simple: to make high-quality Business Studies teaching available to as many students, teachers and schools as possible.
