Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about what BizEdMadeSimple provides, why schools use it, how it supports students and teachers, and how access works.
School Pricing & Access
School pricing depends on the number of students requiring access and the access required, so there is not one flat price for every school.
School Access is priced at school or department level rather than requiring each student to purchase an individual account, meaning the cost per learner can be substantially lower than individual access.
Complete the short School Pricing & Access form to receive pricing for your school.
Individual Access is separate. Core Access is £60 and Premium Access is £120.
School Access gives students a structured Business learning platform and gives teachers the tools to assign and monitor that learning.
Students receive access to the relevant courses, current specialist video explanations, quizzes, exam practice, skills support and progress tracking.
Teachers receive the accompanying teacher resources and access to dashboards that allow them to monitor their authorised classes.
Optional Premium Learning Tools can also be enabled where the school wants them.
School Access therefore brings the teaching, student learning pathway and teacher visibility together rather than supplying a collection of disconnected resources.
Cambridge IGCSE Business is the complete, established core of BizEdMadeSimple, with structured teaching and learning across the full syllabus.
Cambridge International AS & A Level Business content is also being built and released progressively. A Level content should therefore not currently be viewed as a completed equivalent of the full IGCSE platform.
Schools and learners interested in A Level can view the content currently available on the A Level Business page.
Yes.
There is open content available on the website, and short demonstration videos show how BizEdMadeSimple can work in the classroom, for learners and for setting and tracking work.
Where a school has genuine interest but needs to test the workflow before making a purchasing decision, limited class trial access may also be available.
Trials are arranged where appropriate rather than being an automatic public free trial.
Select School Pricing & Access and complete the short school enquiry form.
You will be asked for some basic information about your school, the course you are interested in and the approximate number of students requiring access.
BizEdMadeSimple can then provide the relevant pricing and access information and establish the appropriate next step for your school.
Why BizEdMadeSimple?
Every student needs something different at different points in a Business course: another explanation, more practice, catch-up after absence, greater challenge, revision or exam preparation.
An excellent teacher will respond to as many of those needs as possible, but there is a physical limit to the individual support one person can provide to an entire class.
BizEdMadeSimple makes that level of support available to every student whenever they need it.
Students have access to specialist Business explanations, structured learning, repeated skills practice, revision and exam preparation beyond the limits of the normal timetable, while teachers retain visibility over completion and quiz performance.
For strong Business departments, this provides an additional advantage around excellent teaching. Where staffing or experience is a challenge, it also provides a clear syllabus pathway and specialist support from day one.

No.
Students can certainly return to BizEdMadeSimple for revision, but it is designed to support teaching and learning throughout the course, not simply in the weeks before an examination.
The Cambridge syllabus is organised into a structured learning pathway combining specialist explanations, quizzes, exam skills, progress tracking and additional learning support.
Teachers can use it during normal classroom teaching, for homework, flipped learning, cover, catch-up, absence and revision.
Resources help a teacher prepare. BizEdMadeSimple gives students a structured learning pathway they can actually work through themselves.
It is a teaching and learning platform, not simply a revision site or resource bank.
Students do not all need the same thing at the same time.
Some need another explanation. Some need more practice. Some miss lessons. Some need greater challenge. Some understand the content but struggle to apply, analyse or evaluate it in an examination.
BizEdMadeSimple gives each student access to the next layer of support without requiring the teacher to provide every explanation, practice opportunity or catch-up session individually.
The lesson can finish. The support does not.
Because BizEdMadeSimple is not intended to replace either of them.
A strong teacher remains central, but even an excellent teacher is limited by time, class size, marking capacity and the timetable.
BizEdMadeSimple extends what that teacher can provide, giving students repeated access to explanations, individual skills practice, catch-up, revision and exam preparation whenever they need it.
A textbook provides information. BizEdMadeSimple provides an active, trackable learning pathway around the teaching already taking place.
The value is therefore not that the school cannot teach Business without it. It is that the school can provide its students with substantially more support than classroom time alone can offer.
You may not need another worksheet.
BizEdMadeSimple is more useful when it is viewed as a student learning platform rather than a resource library.
You can continue using your own lessons, resources and teaching style. The additional value is that students also have a consistent learning pathway available outside the classroom, including specialist explanations, follow-up learning, skills practice, revision and progress checking.
Resources help the teacher prepare. BizEdMadeSimple gives the learner additional teaching, practice and support directly.
For experienced teachers with strong existing resources, that is often much more valuable than simply receiving more materials.
Start with what the school is providing its students.
BizEdMadeSimple gives every Business student access to specialist support beyond normal classroom time: explanations they can revisit, repeated skills practice, structured catch-up, revision and exam preparation.
It complements excellent teaching rather than replacing it, while also providing continuity where staffing or experience is a challenge.

BizEdMadeSimple is designed for both strong Business departments and schools where staffing or experience is a challenge.
For strong departments, it gives students additional explanation, practice and exam preparation beyond what classroom time alone can provide.
Where a school has a new teacher, non-specialist teacher or staffing change, it also provides a clear syllabus pathway, specialist explanations, skills practice, revision and exam preparation from day one.
In both cases, the purpose is the same: to give students a higher level of Business support around the teaching already taking place.
Yes.
BizEdMadeSimple Business teaching videos have received more than 500,000 views and around 50,000 hours of watch time in the last 12 months, with students using the teaching around the world.
Public student feedback repeatedly highlights clearer understanding, greater confidence and the usefulness of the explanations and exam support.
We do not claim that one platform alone causes a particular examination result. Student effort, classroom teaching and many other factors matter.
What the evidence does show is that large numbers of real students voluntarily use and value the teaching.
Because memorable does not have to mean boring.
BizEdMadeSimple sometimes uses stories, humour and deliberately unusual examples to make abstract Business concepts easier to understand and remember.
They can seem silly. That is intentional.
The objective is not entertainment for its own sake. It is to give students something memorable to attach the Business concept to, so that they can retrieve and apply it later.
The stories may be unusual. The learning behind them is not.
Teaching, Tracking & Accountability
One of the biggest challenges for a school is not simply providing learning. It is knowing what has actually been made available, completed and understood.
BizEdMadeSimple creates a structured syllabus pathway and gives teachers visibility over student course completion and quiz performance within their authorised classes.
If a student has been absent, the missed learning remains available. If work has been assigned, the teacher can see whether it has been completed. If quiz performance suggests that understanding is weak, the teacher can intervene.
This does not replace teacher judgement or formal assessment. It provides clearer evidence of engagement and helps teachers distinguish between a student who has engaged but is still struggling and one who has not completed the learning.
It also creates greater continuity through student absence, staffing changes and non-specialist teaching.
If a student or parent later raises a concern about missed learning or assigned work, the department has a clearer record of what was made available and what the student completed.
For school leaders and families, that provides greater confidence that students have been given consistent access to the learning and that the department has visibility over what happens afterwards.
Yes.
Teachers can monitor their authorised classes and see course progress, lesson completion and quiz performance.
That changes the conversation from simply setting work to knowing what happened afterwards.
If a student says they have completed the learning, the teacher has visibility. If they have barely engaged with a course, that can be identified. If quiz performance shows that understanding is weak, the teacher can intervene.
This gives teachers something a textbook, worksheet or ordinary video cannot provide: accountability alongside the learning itself.
There is no requirement to change your teaching style or put every student behind a screen.
A teacher can use the explanation from the front of the classroom and combine it with the printable resources, teach around it in their normal way, and then ask students to return to the course later for follow-up work or quizzes.
It can also be used for homework, flipped learning, independent work, cover, revision and structured catch-up after absence.
BizEdMadeSimple is intended to fit around good teaching, not dictate how a teacher should teach.
No.
BizEdMadeSimple can be used in a largely tech-free classroom, with the teacher controlling the explanation from the front and students working from printed resources.
Student accounts become particularly powerful outside that part of the lesson, allowing learners to return to the content, complete follow-up learning and access support independently.
Yes.
Authorised teachers receive access to the teacher resources that accompany the courses, including printable classroom materials and completed versions where available.
These are teacher resources. They are not simply added to student accounts as downloadable teacher packs.
Platform, AI & Data
No.
YouTube is where many teachers and students first discover BizEdMadeSimple, and the public teaching has already been used extensively by Business students around the world.
The BizEdMadeSimple platform contains the complete, current course-video library. Those videos are hosted within BizEdMadeSimple rather than relying on YouTube, so students can learn without YouTube advertising, recommendations or needing to leave the structured course.
Most importantly, the videos are only one part of the system. Each explanation sits within a syllabus pathway alongside quizzes, progress tracking, exam skills, revision and additional learning support.
The videos students and teachers may have seen on YouTube are therefore an introduction to the teaching, not the complete platform.
No.
Students can use the core BizEdMadeSimple learning platform without using the optional Premium Learning Tools.
Premium Learning Tools provide additional explanation, practice and feedback, including support with knowledge, application, analysis and evaluation.
Some of these tools use AI technology underneath, but AI itself is not the product proposition. The educational value is the additional individualised learning support the tools can provide.
For school-managed student accounts, Premium Learning Tools are turned off by default. A school can choose to enable them if and when it is comfortable doing so.
The decision remains with the school.
School-managed access has deliberately been designed around data minimisation.
Students do not need to register themselves, and student email addresses are not required by default.
Normal school accounts can be created using only limited information needed to provide access and track learning.
BizEdMadeSimple does not need student home addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, parent details or payment information to create normal school-managed accounts.
The school remains in control of which students receive access.
School-managed student accounts are not used as a student marketing list, and BizEdMadeSimple does not need to email students directly as part of normal school access.
A Data Processing Agreement is available for schools to review before student accounts are created.
School-managed access is designed to keep the school in control of the student relationship.
Students do not need to provide an email address by default, do not publicly register themselves and do not need to provide phone numbers or payment details.
The school or teacher distributes the student login details and remains the normal first point of contact.
School-managed student accounts are not used for direct student marketing.
Individual Learners
Individual Access is available for students whose school does not currently provide BizEdMadeSimple, as well as homeschoolers and private candidates.
Individual Access is for one named learner and is separate from a school licence.
Students can also show BizEdMadeSimple to their Business teacher if they think their class or department would benefit from School Access.
Yes.
Where a school does not provide access, a parent or guardian can arrange Individual Access for one named learner.
This provides a route for students who want the structured platform but are not currently part of a BizEdMadeSimple school.
For learners under 18, Individual Access should be arranged with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Yes.
Individual Access is available to homeschoolers, private candidates and other independent learners.
Because BizEdMadeSimple provides a structured course pathway rather than simply isolated revision materials, learners can use it to work through the syllabus as well as return to material for revision.
Private candidates remain responsible for arranging their own examination entry with an appropriate examination centre.
Yes, but it is important to understand the current stage of the A Level platform.
A Level content is being released progressively rather than being presented as a finished full-course product.
Learners should check the current A Level content before purchasing Individual Access to make sure the material currently available meets their needs.
